Video Titler... Comments please...

I am thinking about getting myself a cheap Video Titler, the sort that will let me do cuts, fades, and add titles, as well as change audio...

Has anyone got one of these type of editing machines?
If so, can I have your comments please.

Are they any good?

I really only need it to piece together camcorder-type-footage for Discos I film with my friend.

Would it be suitable for editing films?

Any replys please!

and learn about NLE, NLE can do everything you want to do using your own computer, all you need is NLE card which comes supplied with the required software.

A cheap card will be better than the product you are thinking about.

Yes I have a computer...

I also KNOW about NLE machines, and have used one very often... (I have worked at a TV station for nearly 2 years, after all!)

I know that I could get a capture card, computer, etc...

I was just wondering if anyone had got one of the video titlers that connects to your camcorder / VCR and has a type of keyboard attached...

If you do, I wanted your verdict on those.
